El Mexicano del Perú has served Mexican and Tex-Mex food in Lima since 2017. Our menu takes you through Mexico’s regions with 43 dishes and 10 house-made salsas.
We were the first restaurant to bring the Mexican and Tex-Mex «barra libre» to Peru. You order at your table, and a waiter brings as many dishes as you want during three hours.

Perú-Mex combines Mexican and Peruvian techniques from the base, including stocks, charring and adobos—not simply Peruvian food placed on a tortilla. Try tacos polleros, cochinita chifera, enchiladas chiferas, bowl Perú-Mex with a chaufa rice base, or tacos acevichados.
We make our tortillas and 10 salsas in house. Al pastor marinates for 24 hours; cochinita pibil and birria cook for eight hours, and barbacoa for six. The base food is not spicy, so you can add heat with salsas ranging from mild to Santa Muerte habanero salsa. House favorites include tacos de birria, flautas de birria, burrito norteño and taco al pastor.
